Just extra hassle and a bit overkill IMO, expensive as well!

what armaflex just a tad more than normal (thick) round here about £10 + the dreaded for a 3m length
 
Seen one in 15mm speedfit yesterday :( I normally use 32mm with black lagging.
 
location also to be taken in to consideration 3m on a flank wall 10m up will be more likley to freeze than a metre in the corner next to the kitchen door
