Had a landlady owe me £470 from February a real nightmare of a woman. Didn't pay a penny. Innitiated small claims route, had mediation today and although total with charges, interest, court fees etc would have topped £570, I accepted £350 after wrangling. She was prepared to pay me £250 all in. Told the mediator that I was willing to go to court and put my side of the story across. She was advised to pay the £350.

Should have taken her for all plus interest, plus costs, plus time off.
that would have taught her!

Well done mate, remember the story from awhile back so glad you got most of it.

Well done, im delighted ye managed to get most of your dough. Hopefully she'll have no luck for it.
Dont know how people have d balls to do that. If anyone works in my house theyre paid before they leave.

now you have to get it of her we had one and had to go back 5 times and in the end she still knocked us for 25 quid we just couldnt be arsed in the end

I've just filed one for a pair of arse wipes who owe me from a local biomass company I did some work for. Ive got half the payment and a text message saying they'll pay the other half next week (which didn't happen). Once I've got the cash I'll get my revenge in some more creative ways.

I do believe she HAS done this before.
Steve
She has 7 days, otherwise I'm returning it to the court for everything!

It's a good job most of you sound like you can be arsed to fight for the principle of things. I'm afraid I never can.

I'd have nailed the beeatch for everything I could then bad mouthed her to every tradie I know! A haulage firm near me used to mount 8x4 sheets of ply on his building on the main road with bad debtors details on! Fantastic.... Name and shame I say

sometimes, it is just not worth the headache. And just beware, in as much as a decision has been made in your favour doesn't mean she will pay. Most of her type will just string you along as they have done to many before you.
Hope she pays up ASAP

Well done Helpsy! I also was interested in how it would work out for you as I remember your first posting.
I also would have went the whole way to the court, unless she paid me in full. Wastes a lot of your time & therefore costs you much more, but teaches her a lesson.

Get a lot of cards printed out with her address & her phone numbers offering personal services & accidently leave a few everywhere you are.

Yeh! Do eet, Dooo eeeeeeet!!!!!

Revenge may be a dish best served cold....but it wastes your energy and I'm not really into that as it drags you down to their level. Move onward and upward.

did a job for a customerlast week. He was happy with work as it progressed. thanking and praiing me. Saying buy any materials you need and I will pay (he had sourced boiler, bath, basin, toilet etc). Quoted him £1,200. By end of day 2, I had this bad feeling, so told him I need £600 at start of day 3. He paid the £600. But when I finished on day 5, he was no where to be seen. I mailed him the bill for remainder. He rang the following day to inform me that:
- Bath panel was not quite straight
- Material (sand & cement) used to make good flue outlet was not compatible with rest of outside wall (wall had some kind of pebble dash effect).

He said he brought someone in to have a look after I left and was told it will cost at least £800 to rectify, so he doesn't want me back and is not going to pay a penny. I had to laugh
