Council plumbing any good

Is working for the council as a plumber a horrible jobs? The package with hols/ pension seems good. But have read some peoples reviews on being a plumber for a council some sound poor. I was thinking I could maybe get career progression with the council

Would or could it be worse than working for any Plumbing Company?

I suppose it depends on what area of Plumbing and whether you actually enjoy doing it?
Is it general basic Plumbing like, change a tap washer, install an outside tap, replace the odd WC?
Or is it Heating breakdown, new gas fire, fit a bathroom?

It all depends on what the pay is, what type of work and the environment you'll be expected to work in.

I only knew a few Council Plumbers when I was young. They did apprenticeships at the Council and seemed happy enough. I think one or two stuck it out so it can't be horrendous.

Ask all the questions at the interview, they're more likely to give you the job if they feel a bit like it's you interviewing them
