i am working for myself and for the sakes of the name and business cards etc can i advertise my business name followed by plumbing and heating ?

i have sombody that is gas safe that does my gas work till i have my qual

Yes, just not the Gas safe logo, if your business employs the rgi then your business can be registered with gas safe
 
aslong as your not advertising as gas safe registered and using there logo you will be fine.
