Hi, I've got a system with a Honeywell F4 9943 three way diverter valve. The heating and water systems appear to work ok although the pump seems really hot. Throughout the whole day there is a loud buzzing noise from the motorised head of the diverter valve. The only way to stop the buzzing is to switch off the electic supply to it. Any ideas please?

Thanks. How much of a job is it to change the motor? I think the whole central heating system was installed approx 10 years ago.

Not sure of the specifics for that particular valve but if the motor is replaceable it will be 15min job. If whole valve needs replaced then wee bit longer.

I think if its a Honeywell valve and it has a raised dimple on motor casing or you can see the gasket sandwiched or a gap between body and motor casing it's changeable,if not it's the whole valve replacement.

Make sure that you keep the valve/body free of any clothing that may be in the cupboard, so as no excessive heat build up.
