Hi we have a Alpha 2 15-60-130 central heating pump fitted. We need a bit more heat from 12 rads. I’m confused about the settings as the Auto Adapt was pulling 14w which is not enough. I have now set the right side led to position 4 and it pulls 25w.

Does anyone know what the pump should run at for 12 rads and does it matter which setting is used - left or right led settings. Images attached.

25 watt is indicative of more or less what I would expect as sufficient for 12 rads, that setting is constant pressure CP3 which is a 12ft or 3.7M constant head which should be fine IMO, the right hand photo is showing it in constant speed CS 2 which only gives a max head of 7.8ft or 2.4M which falls still further as the flow demand increases, reflected in the 14 watt output, far too low IMO, the highest setting is CS3 at 19ft or 5.8M which shouldn't be required for your system. Auto Adapt (proportional pressure, PP control) doesn't really work on most pumps.

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
