Which? is a United Kingdom brand name that promotes informed consumer choice in the purchase of goods and services by testing products, highlighting inferior products or services, raising awareness of consumer rights and offering independent advice. The brand name is used by the Consumers' Association, a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that owns several businesses, including Which? Financial Services Limited (Which? Mortgage Advisers), Which? Legal Limited and Which? Limited, which publishes the Which? Papers.
The vast majority of the association's income comes from the profit it makes on its trading businesses, for instance subscriptions to Which? magazine, which are donated to the campaigning part of the organisation to fund advocacy activity and inform the public about consumer issues. Which? magazine maintains its independence by not accepting advertising, and the organisation receives no government funding. The Consumers' Association is the largest consumer organisation in the UK, with over 573,000 subscribers to its magazine.Until 2006, the association used prize draws similar to those of Reader's Digest to attract subscribers, but following criticism they were discontinued. The Association now attracts subscribers to its publications with free mini-guides and trial offers.
I've just removed a leaky old S bend toilet from a downstairs loo.
It connected vertically to the floor and I'm not sure which toilet and connector to go for. Ideally I'd like a close coupled toilet so that we can get rid of the overflow but not sure if/how that will work with the position of...

We had a new combi boiler fitted 2 weeks ago. We also had all new rads put in with TRVs. Except one.
This one is in a bedroom and got very hot I understand that this is the bypass rad. My other half who sleeps in there turned it off. Will this have an effect on our boiler? Can we run it without...
Most folk have heard of of shifters and adjustables etc but I was working with a lad last week and he jokingly referred to a it as Swedish key. I was crying with laughter

In the instructions for UPS2 it looks like this pump can be fitted upside down (the flow is downwards) is this correct? I know it is OK for older pumps (the previous was upside down). The pumps with electronic display seem to have to be unbolted and rotated (even if you can read upside down)...

Hi,
Looking to upgrade a customers old y plan system, currently no rad valves fitted only lock shield and wheel heads on rads.
I have used EPH branded TRV's in the past, looking to try something else with recommendation, all comes down to pricing a decent job though.
Cheers for your help.
Oh dear

Hi all.
I've installed a low level WC which is not so low level. The manufacturer's instructions say that the cistern should be 1m above the floor, and it's provided with a flush pipe which sets it at 90cm. I am unhappy with the look as it seems too high but reluctant to cut the flush pipe as...

Hi all,

Hi all,

First post... here goes:
We've acquired a second hand but lovely old sink which I've been tasked with plumbing in. The existing waste (plug/hole) is small - about 23mm ID. The lock nut on the bottom has a large lead "washer" or seal of some sort (I'm sure there's a plumbing name for it) which I...
