Hi,
i needed to replace my mixer tap in the kitchen.
i have fitted it (kind of!)but can't get it tightened up.
I tried to fit to bolt first then the flexi hoses - the tap is nice and tight but the flexi hoses won't screw on. Then I tried to loosen the bolt and attach the flexi hoses. So the...

I am currently undertaking some condition surveys & reports and have today come across 2 No Ideal De Dietrich Harrier ES boilers (c/w NuWay Burners) that seem to date from 1994.
The boilers, as far as I can ascertain, have no identification plates fitted (I think they've been deliberately...
Hi all, hoping someone can spare some time on a UFH problem
I have a Pulsar supplied system which seems to have originated from RBM Kilma. There seems to be a problem with the circulating pump controls. The pump will run for a period of time (sometimes even days) but will then stop and not...
Hi Guys
Hoping someone can help. Apologies in advance for the long email, and if I have posted in the wrong place.
I rented out my 2 bed bungalow when I moved abroad 2 years ago. The current tenant has just left and I have appointed a new letting agent. The agent got one of their contractors...

Hello all,
Hoping that someone out there can assist. I've got a very small sized leak in (or around) one of the connectors going into my hot water cylinder.

HI, I am looking for a replacement flush plate for this. The make says SAS but I can find nothing on google, looks like a simple clip on plate but does anyone know of any that would be compatible with what is on the back, there are padlock images of locked and unlocked by sliding the yellow...
I've fitted a few of these now and had a few call backs with leaks. Anyone else had problems with these and which magnetic filter is the most reliable.......
Hi guys, I fitted one of these a couple of days ago.
It seems to me that it comes with a blue AND a clear hose to connect the button to the flush valve.
The one I got only had a blue hose and the flush seems a bit weak to be honest.
Anyone had experience of these and knows if they are OK with...
Hi all,
I'm considering buying a Saniflo Saniaccess unit to replace our existing macerator which is dead. These units appear to be much easier to access in situ with separate panels for the macerator and the float (switch?) which is why I'm leaning towards one. I just wondered if anyone has any...

There's a couple of these things in line to what I think are the feeds to a shower mixer unit. The washers in the unit are leaking (they have been for some time but I've been reluctant to address the issue because I don't know where the isolation valves are and turning off at the mains seemed...
It has no brand name on it, no electrical power supply, no blades inside, it doesnt drain untill you pull the tube up as in the last picture
and its massive, that waste pipe underneath is about 110 cast iron, the bulb part takes up a whole cupboard, the plug hole is the majority of the bottom of...
Hi,
We have a Heatslave 20/25 which seems to be leaking water from the main tank. We get loss of water pressure and water in the base of the boiler, but otherwise the boiler runs very well indeed. Is it possible to replace the main water tank? If so, any idea how much it would cost?
Thanks...

I have 28mm pipework for the flow and return to my boiler. This is reduced to 22mm as shown in the simple drawing below.
From my layman's point of view I think it would be far better to have 28mm all the way to where the pipework connects to the 22mm pipes using something similar to a 22mm x...
