Hi

My friend asked me a question today and as i've newly signed up to the forum thought i'd post the question. He is having a new kitchen fitted and was going to move the washing machine from the normal position. He asked me if it is wise to do this as is there is more risk of damage of a leak as the machine would be further from the original intake and could affect more cabinets, ovens etc if a leak occurred.

I said i'm sure as long as the new pipes were good quality there should not be any problems but is there any other issues associated with moving a washing machine to a new location in the kitchen e.g further away?

Thanks again for everyone responses on my other posts today.

Cheers

Cris

Hello Lorfy,
the length of the waste pipe is something to check, 40mm waste pipe max 3m according to building Regs or fit some means of avoiding negative pressure issues.

HI Simon,

Could you elaborate a little on avoiding negative pressure issues,

Many thanks

Cris
