Discuss Rain Shower height advice? in the Bathrooms, Showers and Wetrooms area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi,

I am putting in a Rain Shower and I am quite tall. 192 cms. My concern is the rain shower is not height enough.

I estimate the the distance between the top of the rain shower is going to be 12 cms and the top of my head.

Is that enough?

I want to get some guidance on what is the correct distance is - or how you work it out.

Thanks

Ward

I'm also 192cm and I'll fit the back plate for wall arm drencher heads at 2300mm from the floor on a typical 2400mm ceiling.

At the end of the day you can only do what you can do. Allow 100mm from the ceiling for the ability to fit the head if its an arm (most are fine but some will require more) or if its ceiling fed then as high as you can get it.

Personally I might scrap the idea of the drencher if it was that close to my head

Hi fowlerboi,

Thanks for the great advice.

Can you clarify when you say:

"I'll fit the back plate for wall arm drencher heads at 2300mm from the floor on a typical 2400mm ceiling."

Do you have in image or a URL so I can see what you mean of something similar (I am not a plumber myself).

Thanks

Where that connects into the wall is 2300mm off the floor

Just seen your picture in the OP, It wasn't there last night. You've got an exposed one. Is it not telescopic? If it's not you need to move the whole valve up. Your ceilings look like they are higher than standard so you shouldn't have an issue getting the arm to 2300mm.
