Wetroom tiles squelching and bringing up water

Hi all

Moved in to a new house a few months ago. The previous owner had installed an accessible wetroom with nonslip flooring, handrails, etc. We've been using it but have started to notice that some of the floor tiles make a squelching sound when you tread on them and a little water emerges from between the tiles. I'm sure that's not what is meant to happen! It also looks like there are some wet marks on the ceiling below. So we've stopped using it for now.

I'm a complete novice so would appreciate any advice about what we could do. Is it possible that regrouting is all that's needed? Or does it need a more thorough inspection? Do we need a tiler or a specialist wetroom installer to sort this out? Help!

The very least is take up the loose tiles and redo, but it’s not a good sign and usually means that nothing has been done properly and it usually ends up as a rip out and redo.

I would go with this. Fingers crossed it might just be the floor tiles that are the issue. Certainly start there but the screen will have to come off and toilet/vanity out if its not wall hung

oh dear, not really what we wanted to hear. Anyone here in Cardiff and fancy a wetroom repair job?!

It would be the whole floor and at least a row or two of wall tiles. I want tanking up the walls.
