Hi all,

I recently renovated my kitchen and had to move the washing machine. Unfortunately, it now sits directly in front of a series of pipes going through my kitchen. I'm pretty sure the back of the washer is in contact with the pipe and I'm slightly concerned that the shaking and vibration from the machine will eventually cause a leak? There are quite a few joints/connections in that area as well.

Does anyone have any advice? Is leaking a real risk if the pipes are in contact with the washing machine?

Thanks!

if the washing machine is going to be shacking banging vibrating bashing the pipe work then yes it could cause damage.

Move the washing machine away slightly and possibly adjust the feet to make it more stable.

Put a block of timber on the floor at the back of the washing machine large enough so that the machine cannot be accidentally pushed back to the pipes.
