Hello - I have installed a garden sump-pump. In the photo you can see that I’ve replaced the Cloakroom-sink bend that previously went to the gulley with a Tee. Water in Sump vent hose now goes past the cloakroom outlet. Predictably the pump causes gurgling as it creates a partial vacuum going past the sink outlet and agitates the water in cloakroom sink trap.

I know I can fit an internal 32mm AAV but it wouldn’t be easy or pretty and would be a chew-on. I know I can’t fit a 32mm AAV externally owing to not being frost-rated??

There is No spigot on the side of the gulley-head to bring the vent pipe in under the soil and I’d rather not replace the gulley head unless I have to

Can I just fit a simple 32mm vent-cowl (no AAV just a ventilation cowl) to a 32mm pipe before the tee to constantly admit air outside?

Can anyone please suggest an easier ‘work-around’?

Thanks

Just run a new waste to the drain and don’t combine
Cheers ShaunCorbs -as you can see gutter downpipe and utility room waste make it overcrowded.

Can a use a strap-on boss to the 110 soil pipe. Enter say 300 mm above cloakroom toilet outlet. Am I correct in thinking the ‘reservoir’ under the pump in the sump will provide sufficient trap to prevent soil-pipe smells coming out of the sump?

Would say there’s enough to sneak it in between the left hand pipe and the down pipe on the left back

You could always add a longer piece of pipe for the basin to bring it more to the front if your struggling
