Hi all. I've just completed an insurance quote but there was no questions relating to cover for tools on van, am I missing something?

Think there may be a word missing in the post mate, can`t see what your saying.

Sounds like their not covered to me otherwise there would be a limit of valuation clause.

I would also assume that. As this is my first quote for van insurance I was unsure whether normally when doing the quote there are options for tools cover??

When it comes to any insurance never assume anything and ask everything mate.

Tool cover is usually covered by another policy.
You have to have serial no's of the power / cordless tools.
Check the policy because most power / cordless tools are not insurable over 3 years old.
Hand tools - forget it.

If you have some big ticket items - you may want to get a separate insurance policy out on each one - individually. But once again there is an age limit on the tool insured.

It's probably better to have a slush fund to cover the loss of tools.

We've been through claiming loss of tools on a couple of occasions and have come to the conclusion that the cost of the insurance is not worth what they will give you back.

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...
