I have seen and worked with radiator back boxes on the ground floor were pipe are dropped in the middle of the rad. and through a back box and looped around to go back to the manifold. However how is it done on the first floor were pipe are coming to the back box from below? Do they go up the centre and have a elbow then a street elbow inside the back box to bring the pipes back down through the bottom off the back box? Thanks for any insight.

This is how i do it behind dot and dab add foil tape for protection it also helps the pipe to be found with a stud finder fit safe plates at skirting level . cheers kop

Me personally I wouldn't want to do it like kop has done

I would rather do tboe or normally and loop it behind the rad

Thanks, what over way would you recommend?

Come up out from the floor into the back box/ guide and loop it up and down into the rads ( like you do when you drop the feeds from above but upside down

Yes

If you want / need it tight you can use an elbow
