There is a thermo-panel on the roof of my bungalow linked to a cylinder/tank which in turn feeds luke-warm water into the Worcester Combi presumably for economic purposes. I cant find a plumber who understands the system and at the moment the hot water pressure is very low and the shower goes cold within a minute. I think it may be due to silted valves but I do not understand the way it works. Would I be better off shutting down the Thermal system and have a cold main go straight to the Boiler? Hope you can help. Thanks.

Get your cylinder checked by a plumber qualified to work on unvented systems and check condition of DHW plate heat exchanger.

The thermal preheat is quite a common installation, and simple to manage when you know what you are doing.

The problem could be in one of three areas, you'll need to find a specialist that actually understands what is going on. There should be details of the original solar thermal installer on the DHW cylinder or in the paperwork given to you when it was installed or when you purchased the property.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
