Morning everyone, I am looking for advice on purchasing a quality long term gas combi boiler for a top floor flat.

  • Which gas combi boiler would be best long term, top floor flat (ideally I am looking for one which lasts and not replaced every 5 years or so).
  • Would a 30KW be recommended for a large 2 bedroom flat as currently I have a 20kw and it isn't as good as I thought it would be the previous one was 30kw but I had no idea what I was buying to replace it.
  • Also what does the summer, winter seasonal dial mean on a boiler and when should it be used?
  • Are DHW temperatures affected by seasonal changes and if so am I meant to adjust the DHW accordingly as sometimes the DHW temp has been fine for a few months but then all of a sudden it can be roasting or too cold.
I would be very grateful for any advice or information so I can start researching and saving, thank you.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Can anyone recommend a decent multi meter, preferably under a 100 pounds. It's for checking boiler components so I don't need a top spec one ....just easy to use and reliable. The fluke 115 looks good but its above my budget. My current socket and see one was great but it's developed a fault.
