Had a weird one yesterday. The boiler worked fine in hot water but when room stat was calling for heat boiler would go into central heating c on display but after 2 min h would flash and heating go off and keep repeating the process. Turned cold off to boiler and all OK. Eventually found en suit basin tap would let a slug of water out every so often. Just enough that the hw thermistor picked it up.
