Hi All,

Seem to have a bit of a problem with my central heating system. All was working fine this morning. Now I only seem to have heating upstairs. Hot water is fine.

Read through manual, and a lot of the other posts on here, oh deep joy! Think I have just found the catch to Warm Front.

I have the flashing burner light, but for the life of me I can't see an LED panel which gives the fault codes. Have tried the reset button, which seems to have worked a couple of times and tried the off/on thing a couple of times. It seems to fire up, but downstairs is still freezing.

Any clues before I have to try and do battle with Warm Front tomorrow please??

Thanks

I'd second that. I was always taught if the upstairs rads work and downstairs dont its the pump and if the other way round then its the ball valve. Could try bleeding your rads first though. Or maybe get a new boiler as this will probably be the first of many faults you may see. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your boiler is tat.

Thanks for the advice guys. Not so sure about the axe though!

Did think the pump might be an issue, have been bleeding the rads also, taken a good couple of litres of water out of the downstairs ones so far. Is this enough, or should I carry on, keep my fingers crossed and pray to all known gods?

With regards to the pump, I can see where the connections to fix the pump onto the system. Daft question for you, is this 'wet'. In other words do I need to mess around with the water, or can I just unplug the front thing and change it over myself? No issues with the electric bit, just can't work with water, always seems to go wrong!

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...
