For a couple of months now the CH side of the boiler has been leaking water. It would leak for a couple of days and stop. Very intermittent, but very annoying when we get water dripping everywhere (so the system would depressure quite significantly). I have isolated the behaviour to a valve on top of the boiler which the installation book tells me is the 'Automatic Air Vent'. I do not know why it is doing this. I have tried to find someone who can investigate and repair this make of boiler though without any success. I live in Reading, Berkshire , and if anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful!!!

Its a long time since I worked on one of these but I am pretty sure the AAV is outside the boiler case , until you have time to get it changed you can turn it off , it will have a small plastic/brass cap , simply turn this off , only goes a turn or so .

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

Ideal Logic 24, Previous problem was that the hot water was only cold or barely warm if the heating was in use. If heating was off and boiler cold then would get hot water most of the time. Changing the flow cartridge about 2 years ago (when I moved in) solved this problem enough to suffer it as...

Hi all I'm hoping someone can shine a light on this for me Since our stop tap on the pavement has now been filled with sand for whatever reason, we are relying on our property fitted stopcock (this is outside on our garage wall) Unfortunately turning this to the closed position only reduces...
