What are these? Are most combi's fully modulating?

Looking at possible shower valves for a replacement for a customer who has a combi (can't remember the brand/model) and many seem to be suitable for combi's which are fully modulating.

Thanks

yes nowadays, whereby the output of the boiler is reduced or increased, depending on demand, as the water gets hotter so burner pressure reduces and vice versa
imho

most combis are fully modulating older aristons and some other brands where 3 stage and could not react quick with a shower in response to temp demand

how do i gas rate a modulating boiler ,ive tried in hot water mode and ch mode ,

i have turned the ch dial and hot water dial to max ,ive looked at the instructions ,it has a potienmeter should i adjust this to max

I think you need a bit professional help on this one or you will after you finish playing with it.

What boiler is it?
The MI's will specify if there is a service mode for running of max rate. Otherwise running the bath and sink taps will create enough demand so that will not modulate down. Just make sure the flow is not restricted by iso valve etc.

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks

We are from Alberta, and I own an electrical company. I have been asked by a BC Mechanical P. Eng. to install an emergency STOP button at the man-door to the boiler room. It's intent is to 'halt' the operation of the boilers in the room should there be an emergency. He is demanding that I do...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
