Hi,
just trying to understand the cold water supply in my house. It would seem at first glance that all the cold taps in my house are supplied via the mains, including the WCs. There is, however a supply pipe coming from the tank in the loft down with a gate valve on, when I isolate this, it stops the cold water to the bath, no other cold water taps or WCs. My Question is, is this a normal installation? Why is the bath not mains fed like the rest of the house?
Cheers in advance
Ben

do you have a shower mixer tap set up? maybe for balanced pressure.

A fair few houses are done like this. Faster fill on the toilet and drinking water for brushing teeth.

Thank you all for your replies, makes perfect sense now. Cheers
