The feed pipe going to my downstairs radiators(22mm)is very hot but my raiator only ge slightly warm.they are fed by 10mm pipes. could this be the cause. I tried flushig the system
 
turning all the other rads off would force an airlock out as plumbstar bob advised
10mm pipe is not used these days due to its vulnerablity to blockages.
if forcing the flow through those pipes doesnt work then you may have to get a profesional in to flush it properly or replace blocked pipework.
10mm pipes are also very easy to kink when removing radiators you should also check for that
