Hi,

Is ther any new options available for co-gerneration or tri-gerneation for HVAC systems that are enabling more efficient use of energy,or techniques that can be used to increase efficiency???

It depends upon the CoGen and/or HVAC application. All CHP/CoGen/TriGen systems will be individually spec'd per project; both kWt and kWe. Are you wanting to balance/trim the HVAC system [??AHU's??] via CoGen? If so, this will be done via a well set-up BEMS + mechanical control. Do you have a specific project in mind? If so, I work for a major CHP & BEMS specialist and I'm sure we can help on the project.

Cogeneration, also known as combined heat and power or CHP, and total energy, is a very efficient, clean, and reliable approach to generating power and thermal energy from a single fuel source such as natural gas or biomethane. Cogeneration plants recover the “waste heat” that is otherwise discarded from conventional power generation to produce thermal energy.

So in a domestic situation you would be looking at the baxi CHP boiler that us mere mortals at this moment in time are not aloud to install Baxi are letting BG take the lead

This is the boiler with the stirling engine in it that generates 1 kw

been around for a long time in commercial but is now creeping in to domestic
