Hi looking for any views on Brighton sanitary ware. I'm looking at the curve range back to wall WC (will be using concealed cistern) and matching semi recessed sink.
Anyone have experience of fitting or owning Britton. How is the quality of the ceramics and inlet and outlet mouldings. As it will be back to wall then looking for confidence over time against leaks and issues with regard to wc.
Thanks
Martin.

We are not impressed with the Curve toilet we have just bought. The pan is mis-shapen and so is the cistern lid! The cistern is running with condensation on the outside which we have been told is due to poor quality material being used. We are currently awaiting a response from Britton. For the money it cost we would have expected much better. Our previous £70 toilet was of a much better quality! Hope this helps if not too late!

If the item is substandard you are entitled to return it for a replacement. If you purchased via mail order you have the Distance Selling Regulations where you can return for a refund not just a replacement.

My advice is to stick to the recognised brands such as Ideal Standard, Vileroy & Bosch, Vitra, Armitage Shanks etc etc

condensation on the outside of the toilet is not normally poor materials, it's poor ventilation

Definately not due to poor ventilation, window is left open 24/7 (on 3rd floor) and also have extractor fan. No shower in room either. No other problems with condensation or damp in room or with toilet we have just taken out.

We are currently waiting for response from Britton as regards refund.

Thanks for the info, it's not to late yet as project a bit behind schedule with finances. I'm not to worried about cistern wise as I am having concealed system with insulation to combat insulation. I have read a lot about modern cisterns being more susceptable to condensation these days and yes even though you have ventilated the room I guess with the cold inlet water temperature at the moment and high humidity in the air then you might even be condensing from the outside air. However you comment about mis-shapen furniture is a concern. I think I might go the vitra route which was my first choice until I saw the Britton.
Once again thanks for the info
Martin.

Hi, basic question, any insight much appreciated. Looking to have an outdoor tap in my front porch fed from 15mm pex coming up from suspended floor. Pic 1 is inside porch, pex temporarily clipped to give an idea of pipe placement (ignore shoddy blockwork of booted cowboy builder!), Pic 2 is...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...

Hi guys. I'm trying to identify a toilet model before ordering a seat for a customer. I went to what used to be a Roca stockist (they no longer are) and one of the guys there reckoned it might be "The Gap". I went to the new stockist and the guy there disagreed it was "The Gap" and that he'd...
