As the title suggests - I am converting my rads to centre exit 10mm speedfit pipe, feeding into Peglar pushfit 90's which are mounted to the TRV. The question is which insert to use? I am using the basic inserts with no rubbers for the compression fitting but have both types in my toolbox...

I am about to convert a bedroom to a bathroom and vice versa but have a dilemma.
My uncle and father were both plumbers and taught me how to DIY safely & correctly. I have always used copper pipes and fittings for years but never pushfit.
My questions are: Should I convert ? Are plastic...
Hi
I'm taking a radiator out in a newish build and have noticed it's on the flexible pipe that new builds have now.... I'm sure its 10mm but may be wrong.... They have yellow elbows attached to them that go into the valves and then into the wall
What's the name for these elbows fits anyone know...
I'm tidying up the plumbing in my son's airing cupboard as it's a bit of a maze. and adding a new shower pump. I was planning to do the plumbing in the cupboard in copper, and the pipe runs to the shower under the floor in plastic as I have to go through quite a few floor joists.
When joining...
hi a bit of a strange question. we went to a factory today and they are complaining that the cold water drinks machine tastes funny so we had a drink and it tastes oily. all the copper pipes are black with oil so i was just wondering if the speed fit to this machine can absorb oil to give it a...
I'm going to have to remove an old Rymway (see my other post ) pushfit fitting from the 110mm stack in my bathroom in order that i can replace it with a more modern fitting that can take a 40mm boss adapter however space is tight and the branch is stuck fast and not willing to pull out.....any...

Hi guys,
few years ago people where moaning how rubbish floplast pushfit fittings where as they got leaks. Just wondering if this has change, have the fittings got better or are they still a bad fitting?
thinking of using it on a full heating install as the price is attractive compared to hep...
Just like to get the thoughts of the forum. I am looking for a method for placing a hep push fit fitting in a screed. The pipework is not pipe in pipe and using access boxes is not practical. The pipework is to supply hot and cold to bathroom bath shower, basin and flow and return to a towel...
Im trying to find out what this object is used for in plumbing. I have a 22mm copper pipe joining a tee socket. I want to strengthen that connection as there will be weight on the pipe that could make the pipe metal bend at the tee section. The tee itself is not bending its the pipe thats...
got called out to a leaky dishwasher yesturday, so off I went to a recently converted hotel which is now flats. Been before to other apartments, look ok when you first see them, you know all led light in kick panels of kitchen, fake wooden floors, downlighters and all that tat the London 2nd...
Hi chaps, probably a daft question to you guys, but when would you combine the fill and vent in the loft over double piping it from below? IS one better than the other?
I thank you. :-)
I've just bought a shower pump and it states - Do not use jointing compound or tape. Not only that I can't use flux on solder joints! What's left? Anyone know?
I have used pushfit where before there was compression and the pushfit leaks. I intend extending the pipe using a connector (copper) and then use the push fit on the new copper.
Have you seen this happen before. I only have a little copper left to play with and dont want to cut it down even more.
Hi
Although I've previously soldered joints I'm no expert and always worry if I've sealed the joint properly.
When I renovate my Bathroom this time I will be using pipe benders but I’m undecided on how to connect the pipes. Can you use copper push fits on any installation including installing...
I have some 15 mm stainless steel pipe on my CH system, i will need to extend it to another room. I noticed that CONEX supply brass push fit connections that can be used on stainless steel tube.
Has anyone of you pro ever use such fittings? Will I be safe to use it?
any comment and suggestion...

Hi guys,
really stupid question but is there any difference between white and gray john guest pushfit pipes and fittings.
Thanks for your time and info
:)
Hallo all
I'm a complete amateur and this is my first post ......
People refer to using silicon lubricant on the joints of JG/HEP2o fittings - presumably to make it a better seal and less likely to push out the o-ring when inserting the pipe.
So, first, does this silicon not increase the...
