I have also been looking at these makitas. How much is the Hilti?
That's one I have as well Stan, great on rotary stop for chiselling, all rest of my gear is Makita 18v as posted above.this one :
Bosch GBH36VF-LI 36V Li-ion SDS Plus Rotary Hammer Drill (2 x 2.6Ah Batteries)
THIS IS THE 1 .
That 36V Bosch can't be any better than my 240V Bosch can it, at a 3rd of the price?
Just want a smallish SDS to make things a bit easier when outside clipping pipes etc, no 30mm holes that will be mains drill.
then why bother mate ....put them ÂŁ in the saving accountThat 36V Bosch can't be any better than my 240V Bosch can it, at a 3rd of the price?

hilti is good investment and it gets the job done with a lot less vibrationsI have the 18v sds makita. It drains the batterys 3.0 like no tomorrow. Biggest hole ive drilled in brick has been 30mm lol thought my baby was going to die.
Work now on stone buildings so only can do 7mm holes now since its not really build for stone, just brick.
Best gear now is HILTI - but by heck its expensive!!!
Only makita i use on stone is the wet/dry core drill that was expensive
I need to stop buying tools and buy a house lol
Ahh but if you have enough tools you can build a house!
hey guys just looked on gumtree and someone in londn has 6 x 36v hilti sds. and 3 x batteries (1 year old) wants ÂŁ100 per drill and 50 per battery if its any used to any one
I hope i do but not due for a while atleastYou'll find out when you get it serviced because you won't get it back.
