I'm having to use the rather old immersion heater for hot water as my DHW from the boiler has a leak.

Can anyone tell me what type of immersion heater this is? see photo. I assume it's non-thermostatic but that it does have some kind of safety cut-out? Does that mean it will heat the water to 75degreesC!!!!

All it says on the case is Redring and BS3456. imm heater.jpg
 
I`m not sure you`re allowed to change that yourself (sorry to say).
 
Don't want to change it as it's just a temporary measure. Just want to make sure it's safe and won't overheat.
 
TBH there are a lot of photos I cannot open.
A lot say I don't have permission.
