Vaillant eco tec pro flashing Ser on display

Hi

i have just had a new pump fitted to my boiler a week ago but the boiler now says

Ser flashing on the display then shows the temparature.

boiler and water working perfectly.

can anyone tell me what this error means

no mention in the manual.

It means the boiler needs to be Serviced!

The fact that you have just had a new pump is a coincidence as the service interval is determined by how many hours the boiler has been running since the last service.
