Vaillant controls

Anyone know if a Vaillant integral timer would be covered under the same extended warranty as the boiler please ?
A customer has got a failed 130 mechanical timer on a Pro 28 that's 3 years through a 5 year warranty.
Just asking before I spend an inordinate amount of time on the phone to them :snore:

Email them, they might take a few days for them to reply but at least its free.

I thought as long as everything Vaillant related was installed at the same time as the boiler and the warranty was registered then all the associated accessories were covered too. Quickest response to confirm might be through their Twitter feed. If it's confirmed that's it covered then go through their tech/warranty department. Twitter is quick as companies want to be seen giving fast response times etc.

It would make sense mate. I just have a vague recollection of a couple of their controls which don't fall under the warranty. I'd be interested to know though

Problem resolved.
Vaillant controls apparently only carry a two year warranty, not the extended waranty of the boiler but my local rep is sending a replacement timer anyway.
