I have a few shower arms and concealed bath and basin spouts to do. Over the years I have done quite a few. Have been looking at Loctite thread sealants and was wondering if any of you use them and what number sealant you use. There seems to be loads of different number ones!

cheers all

Used to have a producer similar to loxseal called Cimberio. Same color and make up of Loctite. Brilliant stuff for tails in towel rails, garden taps etc. used it on a bib tap, screwed it in and left it 30 min and bingo! Can't get the stuff now.
Think I'll look at the 577.
Is the 577 ok on brass?

This has been discussed many times

It is loctite 577 for every threaded connection

On everything except plastic

Does anybody bother with the cleaner for 577 as shown in their video?

Nope if it's dirty just get a rag other than that I've done nothing special

Hello, I am seeking some advice, I have a POTTERTON PROMAX 28 COMBI Boiler and I noticed yesterday that the water around the house is no longer warming up. The heat exchanger has been changed 6 months ago, so I do not believe it is that. Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? Thanks
