I have a thermal store combination cylinder. It has 2 pumps, and I presume one pumps water through the boiler and the other through the central heating radiators. So my question is, does the hot water have to be turned on as well as the central heating for the central heating to work, or can I just turn on the central heating?

Doesn’t that depend on the thermal store? Aren’t some gledhills priority hot water and the heating will not come on until the water is hot?
