Im just in the process of renewing a heating system and fitting the boiler in the loft. The boiler is a 38Kw Vaillant and the run from the gas meter to the boiler is 10 mtrs with 8 elbows. Off of the run i need to also supply a 5 burner gas hob that is another 10 mtrs the other side of the house from the boiler and this will have 6 elbows. I was going to run 28mm copper from the meter to the boiler then from the tee to the boiler reduce to 22mm for the hob. Question is would it be enough gas flow given the elbows and length of run or do you think i should fit a 32 or 35 to boiler then 28 to the hob and reduce down a metre so away ??

You need a gsr in to look. We cannot and will not give advice on the installation or repair of boilers or gas pipes for your own safety.

Please go to Gas Safe Register | Ensure your gas engineer is registered. or post a thread in the 'I'm looking for a plumber / gas engineer' section of these forums remembering to include your location. If you are gsr please increase your post count to 10+ then send a pm to either Gas man or Redsaw who will then check you and then give you access to the gsr private forum.

Thank you.
