Hi,

I took the lid of the cistern and had to screw the button off. It's a siamp storm 33a single flush, I can manual flush the toilet by lift it up but when pushing the plastic that the button was attached to it jams. I cant see how it's connected to push the unit that im doing manually.... Is there an easy fix for it or do I need a new flush valve?

Thanks,
Chris

It can be fixed, but it's very easy to fit a new one, albeit they are expensive. Push down on the valve and twist and it will come off. Do the same to fit a new one.

Siamps are usually bundled with takeaway budget bathrooms.

Here's a useful link on the Siamp website that will help you. It has plenty of free downloadable troubleshooting guides.

Change it to a Dudley Niagara and it will be more reliable

The Siamp Optima 50 Flush Valve is basically used in a lot of B&Q and Twyford toilets. You should twist and pull the valve out. So in this way you do not need to take the cistern of the toilet taht means this should be a few minute job. If you want to fit the valve in to a concealed cistern you will need to purchase the cable from online store or any local plumbing stores.

Hi. I need a new toilet supply line but donā€™t know the size type of the fitting at the shut off valve. It is not 3/8 compression. It is a plastic nut about the same size as the one going into the cistern but has a different thread. Attached is a photo. Can you advise. Thanks.

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. Itā€™s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
