Ah okay. . Yeah I use a jigsaw for sinks and hobs etc.. was contemplating a purchase but ill not bother.. Cheers amwCut work tops, wet wall panels plywood, chipboard any long cuts as the blade doesn't flex like a recip saw and you get a straight cut unlike if you were to use a jigsaw but use a jigsaw to cut a sink out for a worktop for example
I've recently treated myself to the makita cordless multitool and grinder and reciprocator (and just now the jig) lolControl the depth and quick cut
Get the makita cordless body, if you have any batteries

Far less likely to chop off your fingers with a mini saw as you can to an extent control the kickback.
