I have a couple of propane cylinders at home full. A mate of mine suggested i get a primus 2000 cylinder and use that and when the gas runs out refill it using the propane calor gas bottles i have at home. Has anyone had any experience of refilling their own bottles.

I have never done this AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU DON`T TRY IT EITHER...regards turnpin:hand:

Just take the propane cylinders with you and do your soldering the old way!

It is really quite easy to do but do it at your own risk. It is not recommended.
