what a mess, old age or had it been installed running up hill?

pulled out a fire on friday, serviced by BG for several years, I noticed the soot where the inlet supply came in from behind, so unstuck it from the wall,(someone had sealed it on with brown sealant) and found coz the chimmney had never been swept prior to install that all the soot had piled up and blocked the fire flue outlets. wish Id had my phone on me, so no pics, the owner is an A&E bod in the local hospital and not happy having seen co poisoning in the past. All Id gone to do was replace a faulty pilot assembly, makes you gladto check things out fully each time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

had this one before xmas , custard wanting to know why all the coals on the left were going black and sutty instead of staying white like the ones on the right.

i was rather pleased as a more experienced chap had already been and could not see why apparently all he did is drop a bomb behind and go outside to look for smoke. should of staid inside and watched it i would of though
