What is the correct amount of turns (roughly ) to set the slow ignition device on a medway automatic. I am going to one with explosive ignition , i will be stripping the water jacket , cleaning and then re-adjusting. Thanks in advance

If is got explosive ign i'd be looking at the pilot light first i.e bunged up/too small. Adjusting the slow ign device is a matter of observation and experience.

Pilot is too small, slow ignition is just a damper really (a ball bearing actually) that stops water surge on initial opening of an outlet, this is adjusted by experience as said and is effected by water pressure and diaphragm wear etc
