Hi there, my kitchen sink tap has become loose underneath the wooden worktop due to wear. The horseshoe washer is now too small and will not hold the tap firmly in place. I have not been able to find a larger washer yet. Any suggestions?

Thanks very much for the idea. I Will try this.It looks as though your worktop hole has gone bigger or too big to begin with. I would suggest either a piece of plywood, a top hat washer or one if these BES.co.uk | Next Day Delivery On 15,000 + Plumbing Supplies - https://www.bes.co.uk/split-klick-tap-holding-down-washer-one-stud-18468/ as a suitable fixing point.
Thank you for the idea.Piece of steel plate wit a 32mm hole punched through the middle.
Put the horseshoe washer beneath that.
I must have done that at least 50 times
