hi all,
a mate of mine asked for a favour to fix leaking waste from kitchen sink.

as you can see from the photo, it's a double bowl sink but only has 1 waste outlet.

it doesn't even have a trap........

is there a kit that can be bought to to sort this?

thank you.

Remove the extention piece on the bottom of the sink and fit a 40mm p trap where the 90 elbow is on the bottem.

shorten the right hand piece of pipe too

put him a jubilee clip on the dishwasher/washing machine outlet pipe, it could save a flood one day

blood 'ell KB, you seem to know everything....thanks mate...

Haha hold that thought!!

looking at that you cant take out the extension piece, thats been a few kits splashed together.

ill find you a kit :)

Scratch that, just cut down the main extension piece aswell to give you more room

Looks like it all leaks, strip it out and put 2 traps in and work your way forward with solvent fittings till you get past what looks like a flexible waste pipe!!! Always use jubilee clips on w/m and dishwasher outlets as they join the waste spigot.

i agree with ch4, replace it with two traps.

it looks like a "kitchen fitter" install.

im with mike on this, get a mcalpine 1.5 bowl waste kit and use one p-trap.

How much would you expect to pay a plumber for this? (No white waste pipe was available in my local shop) uploadfromtaptalk1396735051991.jpg

Tut tut fella, why no jubilee clip on the washing machine waste?

Yes, I know... It's on the to do list after there's a flood.... Lol.. I sent my mate to go and buy 1, he comes back with a 15mm isolating valve....

Hi, I seemed to have a blockage in kitchen sink. A plumber came and cleared all the pipework that is visible inside my home (there was debris and pebbles!) We saw that the pipe that takes water down the gutter was visibly full to the top. He said he will return with a coil to push through...

Hello all, I’m replacing a concrete paving slab patio in the back yard. The original patio used 50mm deep concrete slabs on hardcore & sand. I’m planning to pour a 100mm deep concrete patio on 100mm hardcore. In order to achieve the same final height to line up with the rest of the patio, I...
