Does anyone know the answers to the following:

1. What year did Hetas start?
2. What predated Hetas in terms of fireplace plaques / certificates?

I have an old fireplace and stove without any plaques, certificates, etc. that was there when I moved in. I would like to know what regulations it was supposed to have complied with.

chances are that whatever regulations they were installed under will have been changed by now.
