If I have a female thread that is 1" does that mean I need a 3/4" male thread to fit it?

Thanks

If you are connecting to copper, you need a 28mm male copper to iron.

thanks :)

Basically I want to connect a 22mm pipe to a 1" F thread. So does that mean I would need a 22mm to 1" M straight brass coupler?

I'm after this type of fitting.

get a 3/4" 22mm male copper to iron (like in your picture) and a 3/4"-1" bush. Put PTFE tape on the threads before fitting it all together.

with a 22mm x 15mm straight compression fitting, is the thread on them 1" x 3/4" ?... if so i could use that

No. It's not.

You can get a 1" male iron to 22mm copper straight. Buy it. Use it. Job done.

Definitive answer. Best way to do it. Fewer joints to leak.

Closing this thread before there's pages of the same answer and everyone getting annoyed.
