Discuss Heat Input Gas Hob in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi,

Just started doing my gas course and we went through on my course the calc for gas rates and working out heat input etc.

I have just done a gas rate on my hob and it seems there is a discrepancy of 1 between my reading and the MI. Assuming the heat input figure in the MI is always in gross?

I got a heat input of 7.85kW net (8.72kW gross) and the MI is 7.027kW net (7.8kW gross).

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks
Dennis

The percentage should be in your book. It is quite well known. I am surprised the instructor hasn't covered that. Ask them, that's what they're for. Good luck
