i'm going to skin them, less mess.

stand on wings and pull legs up to split skin, comes of like a jacket i am told but not done it that way before..
tbh, its about 20 years since the last one i did.lol

Had this conversation with my other half recently and said if we had the appropriate space I'd raise my own chickens and murder them myself (as humanely as possible of course) because anyone prepared to eat a bird should have the gonads to look Beaky in the eye and whack him themselves.

Pleasant pheasant plucker!

I looked up the tongue twister as I couldn't remember it & found this.....

I got stuck on the first line!

I am not the pheasant plucker,
I'm the pheasant plucker's mate.
I am only plucking pheasants
Because the pheasant plucker's late.
I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit;
and on the slitted sheet I sit.
One smart fellow; he felt smart.
Two smart fellows; they felt smart.
Three smart fellows; they all felt smart.
I'm not the fig plucker,
Nor the fig pluckers' son,
But I'll pluck figs
Till the fig plucker comes.

Mrs Puggy Wuggy has a square cut punt.
Not a punt cut square,
Just a square cut punt.
It's round in the stern and blunt in the front.

Anyone else get in a tingue twoster with that line?

Nah - he gave them a price for an outside tap, and they fainted dead away.
Dunno why but that just had me crying with laughter. Still laughing lol.

actually mr ray,

i ordered a bath from the merchant and to be delivered 15 mile away from the yard. the van turns up with bath on board and the driver/owner who also works gs pointers, shot them yesterday and bought them up for me as a token of total bum licking for my continued custom..

so, customer service= a brace of pheasants or a bag of jelly babies.lol.lol:)

only shot yesturday, need to hang them a few days yet to get a decent taste!!!

you can only murder people, sadly for pheasants they make tasty casseroles once skinned and mixed with a few veg, but if they had ducked?

I'm hungry now, hope the missus brings in a duck and hoisin sauce meal.
