Not a tool you hear much about.
Probably more for the professional mechanics.
Purchased their 1/2" reversible square drive socket wrench. Its unique in that you can also lock the drive mechanism. Cost £50 quid.

I have Teng socket sets and always thought they were quite good but sustained use I found the ratchets would fall apart.

Gedore do a 9pcs hand bender set (244) which has formers to 28mm. List price on their website is £2426.

sorry but hilmor all day long

It does seem a tad expensive.
But likely supreme quality as with most german stuff.

A 30 piece 1/2" drive Gedore socket set costs £468.
A Teng 30 piece set costs £118.

in general dont assume its German because of the name, many of these old brands have been brought out and production shipped out.

i have an old Gedore socket set from my Dad, very good stuff. If there stuff is still simular quality then i would expect it to be very good.

Now that's a blast from the past! My dad had a few Gedore tools. Wonder where they are now?

Gedore, I think are German and seriously good and sold under the Draper range of tools.
I have some of their ring spanners which are lovely quality

What is now the Gedore Tool Group began in 1919 in the German city of Remscheid, as a hand tool manufacturing company run by brothers Otto, Karl and Willi Dowidat. (The name Gedore is an abbreviation of GEbrüder DOwidat REmscheid.)
While most Gedore products are made in Germany, additional or specialist manufacture is also carried out in the UK, Turkey, Brazil and South Africa.

I was stupid enough not to check the position of the pipes under the tiles when installing a toilet and drilled right through the center of a 16 mm copper water pipe. I exposed the pipe by removing a ~30cm section of the plastic sleeve and a ~10 cm section of the pipe around the hole. Several...
