Morning, I have a Baxi 830 installed not too long ago. I was going to run the inbuilt deaeration function to see if it reduces some of the clanging clicking from pipes. May be daft question but should you run the deaeration function when system is hot or cold? Or make no difference?

Won’t help in heat expansion noises

Thanks all, just the living room radiator and pipes leading to it through kitchen mainly. Makes the normal creaking when heating up, but on the cool down for about half hour after heating turned off it's loud clangs. Maybe it is pipes contracting on cool down just seems louder with new boiler, even though the CH temp/pressure is same settings as old boiler. Tried bleeding that radiator but no air coming out at all and heating up evenly anyway.

Also when the CH water reaches its temperature and the burner turns down it makes a noise that can only describe as like an aeroplane passing in the distance, low hum steadily decreasing in frequency for about 10 seconds. Assume this is the fan stopping? Noticed this as soon as the boiler was put in couple months ago but seems to be louder now than it was, can hear it faintly in bedroom when heating on first thing in the morning. Wasn't sure if de-aeration would have any affect on this. Its not loud just because its deep, can hear throughout the property faintly

Boiler and radiators are all otherwise spot on. Just minor irritations (possibly to the neighbours too as live in a flat)

Every two weeks or so I have to go and top up the system because the hot taps are running cold. Boiler display is flashing 0.6 bar and I fill up to 1.3. I've had an engineer look inside the boiler and he can't see anything wrong. I've checked the pipes all over the house and cannot see any...

Hi, I have a Worcester 28i junior boiler that has started to lose pressure, only when using the central heating. When using hot water I have no issue, however, when running the heating the pressure drops. Im looking for some ideas on what could be causing this. I have no sign of pipe leaks...

Hi all. Hope you have all been keeping well. A while back I decided I only wanted to fit one brand of boiler and decided on Viessmann due to space for servicing and changing parts if ever needing to. I am finding my decision rather hard due to the different clearances on flue runs and cupboards...

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...
