Discuss Combi boiler turning off when hot water is used while heating is on in the USA area at PlumbersForums.net

Hi all,

We had a new combo boiler (Intergas eco RF) installed about six months ago. When we are using the central heating and then use hot water, the boiler turns off (error code 4 - ignite). The boiler is fine when using hot water when central heating is off, and central heating is fine until we use hot water.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks

At only 6 months old it’ll be under warranty, even if your installer can’t come back or fix it. Could be a loose connection, could be a pcb fault.
With the guarantee on a combi mean that the manufacturer sends someone out to have a look? The installer was actually here recently to fix another issue, but couldn't work out what the cause of this was. It was purchased by the landlord, so might have to get them to do the warranty claim.
