Had a Maxi Platinum combo fitted to old plumbing 5 years ago, the system was flushed and a inhibitor was added at the time.

I now need to add another radiator so as I'm draining down what's the best inhibitor/scaler to use.

I have a water softener in the house and the boiler has a Adey magnetic filtration unit fitted (which is cleaned out annually).

1 bottle of x100 will be fine for 10 radiators. I presume your water softener feeds your boiler, just remember you can't fill the boiler with artificially softened water so unless you have a filling loop which bypasses the water softener, you will need to shut off your softener and open the bypass valve, run the hot tap for a couple of minutes to flush any soft water out your system, and then you can fill your heating back up.

We run a community village hall and have a large kitchen provided for the use of hirers. This includes a Lincat SLR9 gas cooker which I believe is a 23.8Kw appliance with all six burners and oven on max. This was installed some 10 years ago and has passed all subsequent Gas Safety inspections as...

Hi, Can anyone advise as to why the cold water to my bathroom keeps airlocking? This originally happened about 12 months ago and has happened 3-4 times since. It’s an upstairs bathroom, fed from a tank in the attic. The tank is about 8 Meters away and feeds a bath, sink and toilet. The tank...
