Hi pepeople in looking at getting a air compresser to test pipe work before I fill up a heating system, only thing is what fittings would I need to get onto 15 mm copper or hep? The compresser I'm looking at is this one Toolstation

it says bayonet air outlet but I've no idear what size fitting I need to get to 15mm copper or hep any advice would be very helpfull

cheers

The bayonets I use have a 1/4" male thread. 1/4" x 1/2" brass or black iron bush does it nicely.

These are my gas rigs, one with bayonet.

Can't be arsed cleaning it off each time.....

I would draw your attention to the other joints though!

i thought testing gas pipework with compressed air was a no no due to the water in the compressed air

Think that's only refrigerant pipework.

All the commercial books talk about performing strength tests using air.

But then you're not pumping it up to huge pressures, only a percentage above mip or mop so the moisture wouldn't be forced to condensate.
