I would like to ask for specific product recommendations (or examples of such) that:

a) Fit a standard back plate
b) Would work with an existing wired room stat (single heating zone)
c) Would provide 7 day, 2 Channel programming (CH and DHW)
d) Is not tied into any proprietary home automation such as Alexa
e) Can be operated from the front panel, or via smart phone app (android) and web interface via local broadband router LAN.

I note in the other thread that the recommendation is to install Hive onto the existing backplate, but I cannot find any 2CH Hive programmers that look like they would fit a standard backplate.

Further info that may be relevant. The boiler is a Combi and the existing controller is a Drayton (LP722)

Something like Drayton Wiser Thermostat kit 2 might do.
I've never fitted one, know nothing about it other that what I've just read a few minutes ago.
